…a bunch of movies; the Ice Harvest, gangstar movie done in Kansas, quick fun twists and such, John Cusack is usually good for a laugh or two, Shattered Glass, flick about that kid that made up stories for the New Republic, fun but really not that great, just shows how being nice to people can get you almost anywhere, Jarhead, basically full metal jacket in gulf war one time, alright if you dig war movies, hard war to make a movie about i guess i liked Three Kings better but this being more serious deseres a watch if you want to see what that war might have been about, a History of Violence, sort of another mob flick done in the heartland, more about other stuff though and not as good as it probably could have been but watchable just not outstanding, of the four i think i dug the ice harvest the most but who really knows…
Screamin’ Jay Hawkins – I put a spell on you
Super bowl hangovers are funny things, i think Ben needs to play, but maybe that’s just because i don’t believe in Charlie Batch, i also don’t believe in Coach Cowher, i know he is a good rah rah coach, he gets a team fired up like no other but when it comes to managing a game, specifically the clock he loses out big time, if we don’t burn a timeout before the fourth and goal at the end then we still would have had three and gotten the ball back with a minute 20 instead of 30 seconds and going 60 yards in 30 seconds wiht no timeouts is near impossbile, there is a reason you get three timeouts and keeping them to the end to stop a team quick is needed in a close game, fourth and short they have a play already called and their is no reason to call time out but Cowher paniced and called it and that was the game, Cowher’s talking of leaving and i say good ridence, thanks for the super bowl but if you learned about time we could have had many more…
Bottom line is that the Stillers aren’t a good team this year, sure i still believe that 11-5 is possible but it is alot easier to root for da Bears this year…

Stillers can’t seem to get it going, i’m still a believer but it isn’t pretty right now.
Alot easier to root for the Bears these days, got to see the game, rather slaughter this weekend. Whole team looks solid, deep, ready, focused, it’s a great thing to watch, the crazy thing is that the Bills aren’t that bad, not great but not that bad and their coach was fired up to be back in Chicago and still they got stomped, good stuff

Matthew Sweet – we’re the same

Jimi Hendrix – All along the watchtower
all-time greatest cover
but what Cat Power did with I can’t get no satisfaction makes me melt every single time
and the best cover i saw live was the Flaming Lips doing Under Pressure
i see how his singing dosen’t seem right, but at the core it is what jazz is all about, sort of, it makes me laugh but in that pale sweet way that makes sense at the wierdest moments
